After several decades of independence and self-governance (post-colonial era) in Africa, many attempts have been made by African historians to document their histories. But many of these histories are ridden with controversies. It is therefore important to present a picture of contemporary issues in Nigerian historical evolution and reconstruction thereof. Indeed, Nigeria has had a cheered past of historical incorrectness and controversies - these Issues beckons questions that border on objective correctness.
