This book focuses on an investigation on activities that women engage in as part of rural development among women in rural areas. Eucabeth Kwasu has put clearly the objectives of the book which are to identify the activities that women engage in as part of rural development and she continues to elucidate the effects of the involvement of women in rural development and to identify measures that are taken to improve on women participation in rural development. The study was carried out in rural areas in an area called Kongo Village which is located in Dhiwa District in Nyanza County. Kwasu describes a method, which people in the village are involved in helping to improve their own economic and social condition and thereby become effective working groups in the programme of their national development. The book will be beneficial to University graduates and people who are dealing with development of women in rural areas, especially in Africa

Eucabeth Adoyo Kwasu is Administrative Secretary, Director of Student Support services' Office at Technical University of Kenya, Nairobi-Kenya. She holds a Diploma in Human Resource Management from Gretsa University, Nairobi. She did her second Diploma in Project Development and Management from Kenya Institute of Professional Studies, Nairobi,Kenya
