The Flow is an extra-dimensional field that is capable of transporting humans to other stars. It leads to the creation of an empire, the Interdependency. But now it seems The Flow is moving, which could isolate every human outpost forever. In a last attempt to find a solution, a scientist, a starship captain and the Empress of the Interdependency will see what, if anything, can be salvaged. A standalone space opera.
