Geboren zwischen dem 18.5. und 17.6.1265 in Florenz, gestorben am 14.09.1321 in Ravenna. Er wurde 1295 in den "Rat der Hundert" der kaisertreuen Ghibellinen von Florenz gewählt. Die papsttreuen Guelfen verurteilten ihn 1302 zum Tod auf dem Scheiterhaufen. Er lebte fortan in Verona und Lucca, vermutlich auch in Paris. In Ravenna starb er dann an der Malaria.
